Yooperlite was discovered by an American mineral trader named Eric in Lake Superior in 2017, hence the name "American Flame Stone". Flame stone is a symbiosis of sodalite and feldspar. It shows bright orange fluorescence under UV light, and some of it shows purple fluorescence. When you shake the flame stone, the fluorescent light moves with it, and it looks like magma coming out of the ground. It's so beautiful!
